Welcome! As we gear up for our upcoming 4-week Morning Yoga Challenge, it’s time to lay the foundations for a great journey. This blog will guide you on how to prepare physically and mentally, ensuring you make the most out of each invigorating session. Let’s dive in!
Why Start Your Day with Yoga?
Before we delve into preparations, let’s understand the significance of a morning yoga routine.
Morning yoga has the power to set a positive tone for your day, boost energy levels, improve focus, and cultivate a sense of calm that lasts throughout the day. It’s a holistic approach to overall well-being.

Getting Ready for the Challenge:
1. Assess Your Space:
- Create a dedicated yoga space at home, if you’re able to. Clear the clutter and ensure you have enough room to move comfortably. Having said that, all you need is space for your mat. Keep it somewhere close by, or better still set it up ready before you go to bed.
2. The Essentials:
- Grab a yoga mat, a comfortable outfit (even your PJ’s), and have some water to hand.
3. Ensure Zoom and Device Readiness:
- Download Zoom:
- If you haven’t already, download Zoom on your device. Familiarise yourself with its basic features to ensure a smooth virtual experience.
- Test Your Camera and Audio:
- Check that your camera and audio are functioning properly. A device with a stable internet connection is key for uninterrupted sessions.
- Zoom Link Access:
- Look out for emails with Zoom links. Ensure you have the necessary login details and links for the live sessions. You will get the zoom links for the week ahead on Sunday evening (Check your spam if you need to).
Mental Preparation:
1. Cultivate a Positive Mindset:
- Approach the challenge with an open mind and a positive attitude. Embrace each session as an opportunity for self-care.
2. Practice Mindfulness:
- Begin incorporating mindfulness into your daily life. This can be as simple as taking a few moments to focus on your breath throughout the day. Tips on this will be given during each session.
3. Visualise Success:
- Visualize yourself completing the challenge successfully. Visualisation can boost confidence and motivation. Imagine how you’ll feel in 4 weeks time when you’ve practiced each class!
